They are currently set up in 94 bases across the us and are expanding their reach to San Antonio.Childcare, drop off care at hospitals, opportunities for active-duty members to go home for the holidays, and food distributions are just some of the services they provide all either free or at low cost.While they are one of many associations within YMCA, majority of their services are for supporting military families. William French, President, and CEO says the organization saw the need for their services at Fort Sam Houston because of how many military families, particularly junior enlisted families there are.They will start with free drop off care and create more opportunities to expand and do more of their programs across the city. The goal is to help the young military families get started on the right track, so they’ll be successful throughout their career."What we try to do is provide opportunities, particularly for childcare.
