However, soon after rolling out the support, Microsoft has decided to put a pause on it and has confirmed that the Windows Subsystem for Android will be deprecated starting March 5, 2025 via the official support page.“Microsoft is ending support for the Windows Subsystem for Android™️ (WSA). As a result, the Amazon Appstore on Windows and all applications and games dependent on WSA will no longer be supported beginning March 5, 2025”, reads the official support page.The company has also confirmed that users who have installed the Amazon Appstore or Android apps before March 5, 2024 can keep using till the depreciation date -- March 5, 2025. That said, starting March 6, Windows 11 can no longer download and install Android apps or the Amazon Appstore to download Android apps on their PC. Both Amazon Appstore and Android apps won’t be available via the Microsoft Store. Also, developers won’t be able submit Android apps to support Windows 11’s Android Subsystem.
