You some extra health or an extra life.We learn a bit more about Lumalee in "The Super Mario Bros Movie." Audiences meet Lumalee in a cage precariously hovering above Bowser's lava pit with the other prisoners. In a show-stealing performance, this little creature fully embraces the inevitability of death with relentless childlike excitement. Yes, you heard me right. The life-giver relishes the ultimate end. Lumalee even expresses profound sorrow when it's rescued from the clutches of death. This doomsaying is complimented by the tiny voice of one of the co-directors daughters, Juliet Jelenic, to maximum comedic effect. This light-hearted cameo truly steals the movie. Lumalee definitely seemed like the production team's mascot, and you can tell. 1. Dry Bones Nintendo First appearing in "Super Mario Bros. 3," Dry Bones is a unique variant of a Koopa Troopa that is made exclusively of bones. You're only going to find him in deserts, castles, and dungeons. The fun thing about this "Mario" enemy is his immortality. Yes, you can jump on his head and he'll fall to pieces, but the bones will always eventually come back together. The use of Dry Bones as a cameo in "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" is particularly inspiring. Mario and Luigi are split up when first entering the big green pipe; Mario is sent to Mushroom Kingdom, while poor Luigi is tossed toward Bowser's Castle. When Luigi wakes up in the woods, who does he face other than a horde of Dry Bones? Now, what's extra cool about this encounter is that we actually get to see Dry Bones' specific game mechanic play out on screen. We see one fall to pieces and re-form. The other entries on this list felt like fun inclusions, but Dry Bones' appearance seemed like a seamless part of the movie itself. There are many different kinds of enemies that could have been the first Luigi sees in the woods. It really was perfect timing to toss in the army of skeletons with bright red eyes.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' is released on April 5.NintendoWhile I am still weirded out hearing Chris Pratt’s voice coming out of Mario’s mouth, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has released its final trailer and I really just want this one to land properly. There are two “final” trailers going the rounds. The first is the actual trailer (shown below), the second and slightly longer trailer features more of the cast and crew and has Shigeru Miyamoto act as the host. The latter trailer also goes into the inclusion of the Rainbow Road, which does look pretty lovely all things considered. As for the rest of it, it all looks and sounds amazing, except for Chris Pratt. Who still just sounds really out of place.I mean Charlie Day sounds exactly like how I would expect Luigi to, and Jack Black as Bowser is completely spot on. Even Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong is surprisingly great, but Mario just sounds wrong.Obviously, I am not alone in this appraisal and I am by no means dunking on Chris Pratt here, which seems to be a rather sad and regular occurrence as of late. The issue is that Mario has a very distinctive voice that has been reinforced over decades of multiple game releases, and this casting breaks that.I really hope that I can tune this out when the movie is released, because I really want to enjoy this. The Super Mario Bros. (Image credit: Warner Bros.)The latest collaboration between Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan, Sinners, looks like it’s going to be unlike anything the actor and filmmaker have done together before. The upcoming 2025 movie already had my attention when I heard it was a supernatural thriller but now that more details regarding the story of the upcoming horror movie have come to light, I am absolutely sold. Let’s sink our teeth into all the most pertinent details we know about Sinners so far. What Is The Sinners Release Date? (Image credit: Warner Bros.)As established, Sinners is set to hit theaters in 2025 – specifically on April 18, 2025. It is one of a few highly anticipated thrillers scheduled to come out that month, including the upcoming Blumhouse horror movie, Drop, and the cinematic adaptation of the hit video game, Until Dawn. What Sinners Is About(Image credit: Warner Bros.)Warner Bros’ official logline for Sinners describes the film as the story of troubled twin brothers seeking redemption in their hometown, unaware that they will be met with a great evil upon their arrival. For a while, not much more was known about the plot, save early rumors (via THR) that it was a vampire movie, which was met with some snickering since the film comes from two MCU veterans and would predate Marvel Studios’ upcoming Blade movie, which is currently off the schedule. Well, it turns out the rumors are true. Before unleashing the second Sinners trailer (more on that soon), Ryan Coogler told the press that vampires are a pivotal element to the story, which sees Jordan’s dual roles and others fighting for their lives against bloodsuckers in the 1930s South, but also described it as “genre fluid.” His cited inspirations for the thriller are surprisingly diverse, including Coen Brothers movies like O Brother, Where Art Thou?, a Robert Rodriguez favorite (not the more obvious From Dusk Til Dawn but the 1998 alien invasion movie, The Faculty), and John Carpenter, whose 1982 classic, The Thing, also loosely inspired The Faculty. Many of the best horror movies attempt to blend more than one together, soWhen does the soundtrack for the movie Coraline come out?
As Illumination's The Super Mario Bros. Movie approaches, it becomes clearer and clearer that though nerves were high for the team behind Minions taking over the most beloved video game character of all time, it might be… amazing.Every new teaser and trailer that we've seen has reassured fans that despite the Chris Pratt of it all, we could be in for a treat when we dive down the warp pipe with the titular plumber. As pointed out by Twitter user St. Nick, among the other markers is Mushroom Planet.Though you might immediately expect this to be some kind of reference to Mario, it's a name related to the Sonic series. In 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog movie, it's where Dr Robotnik (Jim Carrey) was marooned. If you’re searching for that extra bit of bounce to bump the hype even higher for the April 5 premiere of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Google has just the search you need — literally. As part of the service’s fun 2015 nod to the 30th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Google placed an easy-to-find Easter egg commemorating the game for anyone who knows the magic search words. Years later, the feature’s amazingly still there, and finding it’s simply a matter of knowing where to look.RELATED: Before 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie,' replay the 10 greatest Mario games ever madeNext time you’ve got Google pulled up on your desktop PC or Mac (for mobile direction, see below), just do a search for “Super Mario Brothers” (not “Bros.” but “Brothers” — the whole word). When the results screen comes up, glance over to the right, where the search engine’s “Knowledge Panel” appears (You know, it’s that context-sensitive side slab of info that Google compiles about commonly searched-for terms). Now: Look at the top search feature (currently, it’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, of course), and just to the side, you’ll see a familiar little coin block icon, flashing away with a question-mark symbol — just like it does in the game. The next step should come as naturally as a Mario jump, so just go ahead and click on the block to see what happens.Yep, you’re collecting coins now! Along with the old-school game’s familiar Mario “ding,” you’re earning hard Mushroom Kingdom currency with every bounce. It pays to keep clicking, too: Bopping the block 100 times in a search session will elicit another classic Nintendo sound: the sweet, sweet chime of Mario earning a 1up extra mushroom. If you’re on a mobile device, no worries: The Easter egg still works, and it’s even easier to access than on a desktop. Just perform the same search and then look right at the top of the screen. Up on the right, the coin block is the first thing you’ll see.RELATED: Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto on how heWhen Does the FNAF Movie Come Out on Peacock?

In a classic case of quantity over quality. 3 The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part Warner Bros.Pictures The most recent entry in the Lego instalment, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is certainly an improvement on the previous entry, The Lego Ninjago Movie, and it does still retain a few sprinkles of the magic that made the original such a fantastic viewing experience. It’s hard to put one’s finger on exactly what is missing, though, as on the surface The Lego Movie 2 is a wildly imaginative, fun, and beautifully animated family movie that introduces an array of funny characters into the Lego universe, including the shapeshifting alien Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi, played by Tiffany Haddish. The biggest problem was probably the fact that, despite the positive aspects, it was hard for audiences to shake off the sense of ‘been here, done that’ déjà vu. This time around, the citizens of Bricksburg come face to face with a whole new set of dangers when the city comes under attack from DUPLO invaders from outer space, who are intent on wrecking everything in their path. Once again, it’s up to Emmet to save the day with old friends and new. 2 The Lego Batman Movie Via Warner Bros Following the success of the original movie, it’s safe to say that expectations were high, but 2014’s The Lego Movie managed to continue the streak and was an absolutely hilarious and fun-filled movie appealing to children and adults of all ages, whilst also being a genuinely good superhero movie. It was truly a stroke of genius to team up with DC and license their most recognizable characters and turn them into Lego. By keeping to the same stunning animation style and adopting the same sense of humor and combining that with a fantastic voice cast consisting of Will Arnett as The Dark Knight alongside Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, and Mariah Carey, the world was treated to one of the funniest superhero movies of all time.
