I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5.0 with the latest updates. I intermittently cannot send or receive group chat messages. When I cannot receive the group chat message I will receive an individual message that says something like "New MMS message to download: size is 2KB, expires on 12/4, 1:48 PM.". When I select to download that message it will never download. It will try to download for a while and then stop.My primary messaging application is Google Hangouts but I have experienced the same problem on the default Android Messages application and the Verizon Message+ application.I have read multiple other threads in the Verizon community forums on this issue that have not lead to a solution (Cannot Send or receive MMS on new Galaxy S5. APN settings locked., Why does my Galaxy S5 only send and receive MMS/Group messages intermittently?, and Re: I just got a new Galaxy S5 on Wednesday and it's been having trouble connecting to the internet,...). I have tried everything suggested by Verizon Wireless Customer Support in those threads. Verizon doesn't support MMS messages over Wi-Fi, EXCEPT for the Verizon Messages+ App. That confirmation was posted by Verizon Tech Support on a Post with a similar issue. The problem, now, is Verizon has decided to discontinue their Messages+ texting app, suggesting Users switch to Google Meesages. Big problem! Most/many texts are to multiple people and/or contain pictures. This REQUIRES MMS which Verizon doesn't support over Wi-Fi, EXCEPT with Verizon's own App.Tested it last night. Sent a picture and a multi party message to my kids and wife, using Messag+. The message was delivered instantly over my Eero MAX 7 Mesh Wi-Fi network. Same message on Google messages...failed to send, repeatedly. Only option with Google Messages would be "cellular data" , which isn't available in our FL location from Verizon. I just upgraded my phone to an iPhone from a Samsung. While in the process of setting up my iPhone, I realized I can back up my Samsung phone to the Verizon Cloud app and then download all the data from the cloud onto my new iPhone.When I open the Verizon Cloud app on the Samsung Galaxy s10+ phone, I see this error message that says, "As you requested, access to your Verizon Cloud media storage was removed. I have had Verizon Messages app on my Windows 10 PC for at least a couple of years. Today I got this text message:VZW Free Msg: NOTICE - Action required By October 1, 2021. Verizon has detected that you have an older Windows Message+ app on one or more devices that will need to be upgraded.
