There is a separate optical MADI port (out/in), designed for use as an ‘FX Loop’ for connecting an external FX device such as a system using Waves Multirack or a VST effects host. The standard configuration offers SSL Blacklight II connectors. A Dante card is also available offering 32x32 channels of I/O at 96 kHz (or 64x64 channels at 48kHz) over a redundant Dante connection. An redundant pair of SSL X-Light connectors provide 256 bi-directional channels at 96kHz between console and stage using a single cable with ruggedised connectors. The back panel also accommodates connectors for MIDI, LTC, Wordclock and GP I/O. The console has redundant power supplies. Six consoles one soul. There are six models available in the SSL Live console range; the L650, L550 Plus, the L450, L350 Plus, L200 Plus and the L100 Plus. At SSL we believe that offering a range of sizes and console specifications should not mean compromising on quality or features. All six consoles use the same Remote I/O, use identical audio conversion and internal audio engine technology. The combination and layout of Fader Tiles, Master Tile and Channel Control Tile varies but the controls available and feature set are identical. The consoles use the same software with identical architecture, routing capability, and of course audio processing tool kit. A full channel on the L450 is the same as a full channel on the other consoles and they all offer exactly the same outstanding collection of insert Effects. The differences between the six models centre on physical size, layout, available channel paths & processing power, and available local I/O. I think this is better than loading all the SSL stuff in, since the G channel and the SSL eq are somewhat redundant to the E channel and its onboard EQ section The E channel has the black nob so that is why I chose it. Not sure yet how the G channel differs from the E channel - but that will come later. I have the E channel tweaked just a bit - and now to see what else the Pro channel has that is roughly analogous to the E channel. Oh - I like the results of all three compressors...so I figure I can keep all of them at hand and see how well each sits in a full mix - choices - that's what the goal is - but choices that are somewhat simple to implement. Response of optical compressors, and Electro, which offers a faster and more aggressive sound. You can also adjust the attack and release times, the ratio, the threshold, the output gain, and the knee shape. Additionally, you can use the ARC (Automatic Release Control) feature, which automatically adjusts the release time according to the input signal. Renaissance Vox Renaissance Vox is a compressor designed specifically for vocals. It can help you achieve a smooth and consistent vocal level with minimal effort. You can adjust the compression amount, the output gain, and the gate threshold. Renaissance Vox also has a built-in de-esser that reduces sibilance and harshness in your vocal tracks. SSL E-Channel & G-Channel SSL E-Channel and G-Channel are plugins that emulate the EQ and dynamics sections of two classic SSL consoles: the SSL 4000 E-Series and the SSL 4000 G-Series. Both plugins offer a four-band parametric EQ with high-pass and low-pass filters, a compressor/limiter with variable threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup gain, and an expander/gate with variable range, threshold, attack, hold, and release. The main difference between the two plugins is that the E-Channel has a slightly more aggressive sound than the G-Channel, which is more smooth and warm. SSL G Master Buss Compressor SSL G Master Buss Compressor is a plugin that emulates the master buss compressor of the SSL 4000 G-Series console. This compressor is famous for its ability to glue a mix together and add punch and cohesion to your tracks. You can adjust the threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup gain of the compressor, as well as activate the auto-fade and auto-release functions. You can also use the analog switch to add some subtle harmonic distortion to your signal. CLA-76 Compressor / Limiter CLA-76 Compressor / Limiter is a plugin that emulates two versions of the classic FET compressor/limiter: the blacky (based on the UREI 1176LN) and the bluey (based on the blue-stripe revision B). Both versions have a fast and punchy sound that works great on drums, bass, guitars, vocals, and more. You can adjust the input and output levels, the ratio, the attack and release times, and the all-buttons mode, which creates a more extreme compression effect. You can also switch between the blacky and the bluey models with a single click. CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter is a plugin that emulates the classic tube compressor/limiter: the Teletronix LA-2A. This compressor has a smooth and warm sound that works well on vocals, guitars, bass, and more. You can adjust the peak reduction, the gain, and the compression mode (compress or limit). You can also use the analog switch to add some subtle noise and distortion to your signal. Reverbs and

Products, maybe even an SSL console that is mapped to the UC1, or maybe all LUNA consoles will be... who knows.3. Until such a glorious day, though, I still want to use an SSL 9k emulation. So, has anyone compared bx vs. SSL and care to comment? I'm reaching out to the forum here 'cause trust factor is higher than other sources. If the SSL emulation is spot on, or as good, then it would make sense to get the UC1 and be fully immersed in the SSL user experience. Thanks all! So, you're not interested in the 4k, which also works with the UC1?Also, I agree that it would be great to have the UC1 work with UA's SSL strip. Barring that ever developing, I imagine MCU Vpot integration on the UF8/UF1 will ultimately be coming to Luna, at which point we should be able to control plugins that way.I've watched a few videos on plugin control with the UF8 on other DAWs and, while though it's not as slick as the UC1, it still seems to be pretty good, allowing for ordering of which knobs appear where. So muscle memory could probably still kick in pretty easily.I'd love a UC1 type solution for channel strips in Luna or any other DAW, but I don't know if we'll ever see them. Plus, the ability to control ANY plugin with the UF8/UF1 has its advantages too. #6 I have the uf8, uc1, and hf1 on the way, three apollos. Using the ssl plugins from ssl...but everything else is uad. I use mpmidi touchscreen for uad stuff. With toys like these i could rule the world. #7 So, you're not interested in the 4k, which also works with the UC1? Of course I am... The UC1 comes with a perpetual license for both the 4k, 9k, and bus comp. I would primarily use the 9k, with the 4k here and there depending on the track.I would hope that if the SSL 9k is up there with the bx 9k, the same would be true for the 4k. #8 I have the uf8, uc1, and hf1 on the way, three apollos. Using the ssl plugins from ssl...but everything else is uad. I use mpmidi touchscreen for uad stuff. With toys like these i could rule the world. Can you elaborate on the MpMidi with UAD? I've definitely had an interest in that combination. What DAW are you using? How does that work with realtime processing/DSP and latency, because, as I understand it, MpMidi places a wrapper around whatever plugins you use. I'm curious what effect, if any, that the wrapper may have on use of UAD plugins. #9 Got the UC1, sold the Console 1. Sold all UAD plugins as well. SSL Channel Strip 2 or SSL 4K B on every channel, SSL Mix Bus on every bus. Heaven on earth.EDIT: no experience with the PA version, Channel Strip 2 is close to Softubes XL 9K though but the UC1 is better than
