Jan Michelini, an assistant director on THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, unveiled in the U.S. his artwork inspired by the filming of the movie at a celebrity studded reception on May 12, 2004 at Kolibri Gallery. The 24 year-old Italian-born Michelini was affectionately nicknamed "Lightning Boy" by Mel Gibson and producer Steve McEveety when he was struck by bolts of lightning on two separate occasions while filming the "The Crucifixion" and "Jesus delivers the Sermon on the Mount" scenes. In the first instance, while filming The Crucifixion scene, a huge, dangerous-looking thundercloud sent the crew scattering for cover. Michelini rushed to cover fellow assistant director Rachel Griffiths with an umbrella and was simultaneously struck by a lightning bolt. The second instance happened immediately after Michelini had just joked to star Jim Caviezel, that, "we're going to be struck by lightning... I'm just feeling it!" Moments later, just as Gibson was about to shout "action," the lightning blasted Michelini and Caviezel. The after-effects of the lightning blast were actually captured and retained in the film for this scene and captured in a still photograph. "I had so much energy from this movie," said Michelini, "and so many things changing inside of me, that I had to release it somehow." His paintings include images of angels, Christ's face, and the crucified Christ. He refers to the experience as his "second baptism." During a private ceremony in October 1978, Michelini and his twin sister were the first children baptized by Pope John Paul II The Passion of the Christ Jim Caviezel was struck by lightning during the Sermon On The Mount scene in The Passion of the Christ. The movie's director, Mel Gibson, had visited several other locations prior to filming, which had been previously used for similar films. In the end Gibson wanted to find locations that had been relatively unexplored through the lens of a movie camera. He found these ideal areas in Italy, including the towns of Rome, Lazio, Craco, Matera, and Basilicata. If you watch the film's credits, you will notice an abundance of Italian names, including Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded, 2003), the popular Italian actress who portrayed Mary Magdalene in the film. Did the actor Jim Caviezel really get struck by lightning when shooting the Sermon on the Mount? Yes. According to Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in the film, this really happened. In the Newsweek interview, Jim Caviezel said the following about the bolt from above, "We were shooting the Sermon on the Mount. About four seconds before it happened it was quiet, and then it was like someone slapped my ears. I had seven or eight seconds of, like, a pink, fuzzy color, and people started screaming. They said I had fire on the left side of my head and light around my body. All I can tell you is that I looked like I went to Don King's hairstylist." Caviezel then implied that the strike might have been God's way of telling him that he (God) was unhappy with the take. When you think about it, God and directors are not all that dissimilar. What motivated Mel Gibson to make a movie about Jesus' final hours? In an interview that appeared in the February 2004 issue of the Knights of Columbus magazine Columbia, Mel Gibson said the following about deciding to make the film, "About 13 years ago I came to a difficult point in my life, and meditating on Christ's sufferings, on his passion, got me through it. ... And when I did that, through reading, and studying, and meditating and praying, I began to see in my own mind what he really went through. ... The story, the way I envisioned the suffering of Christ, got inside me and started to grow, and it reached a point where I just had to tell it, to get it out." Did the Vatican, fearing

Add bookmark #1 Published on Mar 25, 2016Amazing testimony and words of Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ film, which is the highest grossing R-rated film in history (and rightly so) just like the Holy Bible is the world’s best-selling book (and rightly so). Jim Caviezel is being interviewed by Dave Cooper. This interview is highly inspiring. He talks about how God's Providence allowed him to suffer several very painful injuries and illnesses when filming which allowed him to participate in and portray Christ's Passion in a deep and real way. He tells about the shocking fact that he was struck by lightning at one point in the production. He gives advice to all Catholics about the seriousness of living the Faith, not trying to "fit in" with our neo-pagan society, and the necessity, joy, and honor of suffering for Jesus Crucified for the salvation of souls. His testimony is amazing and real.Based on the following event posting, it appears that he did this interview on August 1, 2010: you want to see videos containing all the flashback scenes of The Passion of the Christ with Jim Cavaziel as Jesus along with a great audio reading on top, check out "The Beatitudes Expanded and Explained" here: is a playlist containing the Beatitudes broken up into individual videos as well: first feedback I received on it was someone who wrote: “Truly profound and breathtaking!”Please Note: At one point in his talk, Jim said, “You are all going to Heaven.” A critic might object, “What if there was someone in the audience who
