I currently have Kontact 6 and Komplete 13 ultimate. Is the kontact 7 Library different enough and a large enough jump in quality from the Kontact 6 library to justify the $99 upgrade?

If I upgrade to Kontact 7 I am going to have to upgrade Vienna Ensemble Pro along with my operating systems in order AFAIK, Kontact 7 will all be using the same VST (Kontact.vst), that of Kontact 6. Kontakt 7 and 8 have their own VSTs: Kontact 7.vst and (I assume, don't have it) Kontakt8.vst that's why it won't automatically upgrade unless you have a DAW that will do it for you. Personally I think that N.I. ought to make the Building using ready made Blocks a lot more accessible (as seen with e.g. Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular) and put some effort into making more ready made blocks so that that part would look a lot easier to the beginners. Reaktor is more though, it's a dataflow style development environment - you can make all sorts, monolithic polysynths, midi processors, experimental FX systems, games!! whatever you like really. It's a shame that resources seem currently limited for further Reaktor development, but that doesn't mean its being retired. It's a mature application, and because it's a platform, new stuff can keep coming
