The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack manages to add a tremendous amount of new depth to the title, and despite a lackluster world is a worthwhile addition for any family-oriented player. The focus on interpersonal relationships and in-game storytelling means the DLC may not satisfy fans who prefer larger-scale changes, but Growing Together is undoubtedly one of the strongest Expansion Packs in years. The comparisons made between Growing Together and The Sims 3 Generations are apt, although the new DLC manages to expand upon the beloved past release in a myriad of ways, beginning in Create A Sim. Apparel-wise, Growing Together does a great job of providing a solid amount clothes for every life stage that feel age-appropriate, from some incredibly dadcore clothing to adorable infant-wear. Typically, younger Sims have received the short end of the stick when it comes to CAS additions, and it's a relief for that not to be the case here. Infants can now begin life with one of six Traits, and children have an impressive four new Aspirations under the category Multiskill. Create A Sim is also where players can toggle two of the biggest additions in Growing Together: Family Dynamics and new Likes and Dislikes. While previous DLC like High School Years added Likes and Dislikes for things like fashion, Growing Together's new options to select preferred Sim characteristics and conversation topics have a much larger impact on gameplay. Similarly, Dynamics can be set between family members to things like Strict, Distant, or Jokester, each of which also changes how Sims interact. The Sims 4 Growing Together's Build and Buy is a bit of a mixed bag, but skews mostly towards the positive. The more basic furniture is palatable enough - with a new Wicker Whims spin-off Woven Whims being the standout - but where the DLC truly shines is its objects for younger Sims, from the many new infant items to adorable pieces of children's art and clutter. From this pack are so cute! I’m obsessed with all of the cat and dog sweaters… and that one shirt that is giving Galaxy Wolf, LOL. All my Sims have pets, so this pack is a no-brainer.3. Growing TogetherElectronic ArtsThis is probably one of the most influential and best Sims 4 expansion packs as it completely changes the way you play, making all your decisions much more intentional. Growing Together adds much more nuance to the family aspect of the Sims. Getting milestones and having younger Sims with more of a personality makes the game more interesting. The social dynamics included in the pack overall make the game more realistic.2. City LivingElectronic ArtsPart of me thinks this should be in the base game because you should be able to pick between a town and a city. I personally love living in an apartment and having interactions with my neighbors. A lot of the added build items in this pack are modern and become a staple even when building outside the city. Speaking of the city, San Myshuno is a great place to have your Sims live, with different festivals to take part in. Additionally, the social media career is a favorite of mine.1. SeasonsElectronic ArtsMy top expansion pack is Seasons, which I would also argue deserves to be in the base game, but regardless, it’s a great expansion pack. From weather to holidays to new activities, Seasons is jam-packed with features and additions. This is probably mainly because it doesn’t include a world. In my opinion, seasons add the most variety to playing the game. If you want to get an expansion pack, make it this one!

Growing Together allowed us to have more aspirations for kids! Now, little Sims explore more of life through self-discovery. They can choose to become slumber party animals, showcasing their social skills, or aim to become well-rounded individuals through mind and body pursuits, playtime captainship, or by becoming creative geniuses!Slumber Party Animal – Throw the best sleepovers with other kids with this Sims 4 aspiration.
