Dec 15, 2012 #1 I've noticed that the 4.1.1 update has given my phone the ability to read emojis on twitter and such. I know that these are on the android keyboard but my phone doesn't have that. I just have the Samsung keyboard, SwiftKey 3, SwiftKey flow beta, and swype. Is there a way to get these android emojis on my D3 without root? I'd really like to get the android emojis and not the iphone emojis. So is there maybe an android keyboard apk? Thank you in advance. Dec 15, 2012 #2 I don't think Android has their own emojis (I could be wrong), but rather they are just iPhone emoji's re-encoded on your phone so you can see them (but not send) - again, I may be totally wrong on this but that'd be my guess Dec 15, 2012 #3 Dec 19, 2012 #4 Try Multiling Keyboard on the app market, along with emoji codec. It will give you the ability to send emoji since they work in conjunction with each other. give it a go! You can even set the keyboard up where you can quickly switch to the emoji keyboard with a gesture. I used to use that until the day the Emoji Keyboard on the Nexus 4 running 4.2 was pulled from the dump. But you have to be rooted to use it, and since you are not rooted, Multiling is the way to go. Keep in mind that with Multiling you are limited since they don't have all the emojis possible on there. It has plenty but you will definitely notice a lot are missing. But hey thats better than nothing. It is a pretty solid keyboard too, I even used it as my main keyboard until 4.2 and the emoji keyboard was dumped. AC Question Jan 25, 2016 #1 The emoji icon on the message strip next to the send button in my messaging app will not open up the default emoji keyboard. I use the original messaging app on the Samsung Galaxy s6. Because of this I have to use the emoji keyboard that can be opened by pressing and holding the microphone/settings button by the space bar and then pressing the smiley face. I know it isn't a big deal, but its irritating to press the emoji icon, it highlight orange like its going to load the emoji keyboard, and then sit there with the QWERTY and not load the emoji keyboard at all. Company also announced support for iOS devices, from the iPhone 5 onwards, as long as they're running at least iOS 9 software. The chances are that your current phone will work with the Samsung Gear S3, and, crucially, that you won't be locked in to a particular smartphone operating system or brand down the line. There's also now the more recent Samsung Gear Sport watch that has a smaller design, but is otherwise very similar to the Gear S3. On top of that, the company has even replaced the Gear S3 with the Samsung Galaxy Watch. When it comes to using the Gear S3 with non-Galaxy phones, for the purpose of this review we tested it with the Sony Xperia XZ and it performed just fine (apart from needing to install a million Samsung-specific apps to make it work. Come on, do we really need the Samsung timer app just to count how many minutes until food is cooked?) Samsung Gear S3 review: A week with the new GPS smartwatch - YouTubeWatch On So the Gear S3 has the right credentials, but is that enough? Or, with a number of functionally similar rivals on the market, is it too little too late for one of the biggest brands in phones, trying to convince us that we all need another smart device?Samsung Gear S3 price and release date Out now in both Classic and Frontier flavorsOriginally cost $349/£349 (around AU$475)Now a bit cheaper, but worth considering the Gear Sport or Galaxy WatchThe Gear S3 started life at $349/£349/AU$399, which is expensive for a smart timepiece. We've now seen the price drop to around $280 / £250, which isn't a huge discount considering it has since been replaced by the Gear Sport and Galaxy Watch. We'd recommend looking at both the Gear Sport and Galaxy Watch before deciding to buy the Gear S3 as the price is similar but this is an older device. You can also get the TUMI-designed Frontier Gear S3 in the US, with a strap that comes in a "signature Earl Grey colorway and is constructed from an Italian canvas, which features a stainless-steel buckle and stitched edge detailing, is durable enough to resist water, dust, or rough conditions you may encounter on your adventures."Design Big and heavy but well-madeUseful rotating bezel and buttonsAt 59g the Gear S3 Classic might not sound heavy, but it certainly feels it.
