The installation was completed, but the SD card no longer showed up on my computer. I put into the Pi and nothing happened after powering it on. So, I tried another SD card, but the same exact thing happened. On both installs I installed the Ubuntu version that was previously mentioned, and I used an external SD card reader, as my computer does not have one. Specifically, my computer said that there was no SD card inserted into the drive, even thought there was. Both of the SD cards are 128 gigs, micro-SD, and one is made by Gigastone, while the other is made by Samsung. I don't want to throw away these SD cards, so does anyone know what to do here? neilgl Posts: 10207 Joined: Sun Jan 26, 2014 8:36 pm Location: Near The National Museum of Computing Re: Unable to detect SD card after RaspberryPi imager was used on it Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:50 pm Using Imager 1.7.5 I put Ubuntu Desktop 23.04 64-bit onto a 128GB microSD card using an external USB card reader on my Windows 10 PC.I put that into a pi4 2GB RAM (won't work on a 1GB model) and powered on the pi4. It went through the usual Ubuntu configuration at start-up, then rebooted and Ubuntu was running OK.Shutdown the pi4 and put the card back into the PC card reader, showed G: as "system-boot" FAT32 and gave me the option to format H: (not taken). If I wanted to "reclaim" the card, I would start Disk Management and delete the two volumes on the card (shown here as Disk 3), then create a new empty one and format it. Running Ubuntu 18.04 on x64.I need to COMPLETELY turn off the "automatic updates reminder" stuff on my Ubuntu system. The problem is that the machine is doing some unattended processing and the updates reminders interfere with it.A while back, I Googled for help on this and got some pointers to go into Software Updater "settings" and set the "Remind me when" thing to "Never". That sorta (but not really) worked. It disables the big screen that comes up (the one that tells you that "We have new software for you"), but not the little one.Anyway, I could go on more about how that doesn't work, but the point is that it is clear that it really, really wants you to do this and they have made the config hard to work - to really turn it off.So, I need something lower level - not so "user-y" or "GUI-I" - because that just doesn't work. There has to be something lower level - some service or something that you can kill or disable to make this go away. Can you help me, please? asked Mar 9, 2021 at 14:39 7 The simplest way to do this would be to disable every auto-upgrade. Here's how you can do it on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04:Open Terminal (if this is an Ubuntu Server installation, just SSH into the thing)Edit Apt's 20auto-upgrades file to disable everything:sudo vi /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/20auto-upgradesEnsure everything is set to 0. If done correctly, you'll have a file that looks like this:APT::Periodic::Update-Package-Lists "0";APT::Periodic::Download-Upgradeable-Packages "0";APT::Periodic::AutocleanInterval "0";APT::Periodic::Unattended-Upgrade "0";Get on with your lifeThat's really all there is to it. Set everything to zero and all notifications, background checks, and invisible updates will completely disappear. Hopefully whatever system you're doing this to is a VM or something not connected to the open web. Otherwise, you may be creating a new question in a year or two when some script kiddy takes advantage of your unpatched system. answered Mar 9, 2021 at 14:52 10 How to uninstall Unattended-Upgrades: sudo apt remove unattended-upgradesWARNING: Uninstalling this package is a bad idea for most users. You will no longer get automatic security patches. Running your Ubuntu system without unattended upgrades is untested -- you may encounter unexpected errors. Running an unpatched Ubuntu system may leave you vulnerable to published exploits. If this is an enterprise or school system, running an unpatched Ubuntu system may violate your network owner's policy.Someday, if you

Features are the same for all supported operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu, macOS), and the program works quite well on any OS, so there is no difference between Windows Server 2022 (2019/2016) and Ubuntu 22.04 (20.04) in terms of functionality. The only thing to keep in mind is auto-updates. As of now, the auto-update feature works well on Windows systems, no interaction from a user side needed. On Ubuntu, you need to approve the update by providing the user password, which means that you need to manually update Linked Helper from time to time.Links to instructionsOnce you defined server characteristics that suit your needs, please, proceed to one of the articles for detailed instructions:How to install Linked Helper on a dedicated server with Windows OSHow to install Linked Helper on a VPS (virtual private server) with Windows OSHow to install Linked Helper on a VPS / self-managed dedicated server with Ubuntu OSYou can also connect to your instance using built-in remote control feature:_____________________________________Here are some more useful articles from our blog:Linked Helper & HostZealot: LinkedIn automation as it would be in the cloud6 LinkedIn automation tools every salesperson should use in 2023____________________________________________________________________________________________________________You can try the software for free during 14 days - download it and activate a free trial.Official website Our blog YouTube Facebook Instagram WhatsApp Email: [email protected]
