The Alpha Warhead is a last resort emergency method in an event of a serious containment breach, with the intent of destroying or disabling all active threats within the facility. General[]When successfully activated, the Alpha Warhead will blow up the entire underground section of the facility. To turn on the Alpha Warhead, one must locate the silo in the Heavy Containment Zone and flip its lever. This can be done by anyone expect SCP-079. Afterwards, one must go up to the surface and open a nuke room door, which requires either a Containment Engineer, Facility Manager or O5 Keycard to open. They then must open up a button panel with one of the three keycards mentioned earlier. Afterwards, the button can be pressed if the warheads are ready. The Alpha Warhead is a last resort emergency method in an event of a serious containment breach, with the intent of destroying or disabling all active threats within the facility. General[]When successfully activated, the Alpha Warhead will blow up the entire underground section of the facility. To turn on the Alpha Warhead, one must locate the silo in the Heavy Containment Zone and flip its lever. This can be done by anyone expect SCP-079. Afterwards, one must go up to the surface and open a nuke room door, which requires either a Containment Engineer, Facility Manager or O5 Keycard to open. They then must open up a button panel with one of the three keycards mentioned earlier. Afterwards, the button can be pressed if the warheads are ready. The screen will state the current status of the warheads. Ready means you can turn it on. Disabled means you can't turn it on. Please Wait means the you must wait before turning it back on. After turning on, a countdown will begin on the screen in the nuke room. CASSIE will also announce the activation and how much time until the Alpha Warhead blow ups. The time can range from 80 seconds to 120 seconds, depending on the server. Though the default time is 90 seconds. A siren will also begin to play after CASSIE is done speaking. All doors inside the facility, besides SCP-106's CC door and SCP-079's CC door will be opened and locked during the nuke. The detonation sequence can be canceled by pressing the red button. After being pressed, the Alpha Warhead can't be activated for a short period of time. Flipping the lever back to the off position disables the nuke until it is turned back on. It is impossible to turn off the nuke at the last 10 seconds of the countdown. Anyone left inside the facility will be instantlly killed when the warhead blows up. Turning on the Alpha Warheads is one of the only two ways to kill SCP-079.Note, that with the SMOD plugin. some servers have it set so the Alpha Warhead automatically turns on after a set amount of time has passed. These servers might also have it set to be impossible to turn the Alpha Warhead off after the auto activation.
