The Akron Zoo is taking part in the Teal Pumpkin Project, which provides non-food options for any guest with food allergies. To participate, guests can ask for a Teal Pumpkin treat at each station.The zoo is holding its Zoothing Boo event on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m. This event is a quieter, less crowded option for zoo guests with different abilities. Tickets are separate from general admission tickets and are limited to manage crowd sizes.Boo at the Zoo tickets are available for purchase on the zoo website. Tickets are $13 for trick-or-treaters, $10 for non-member observers and $3 for parking. Tickets are also available for purchase at the door for $15 trick-or-treaters, $12 for non-member observers and $5 for parking.Akron Zoo members who wish to attend the events can do so for free but do require a ticket, which can be requested online or at the door.
