If future versions of this stager are further obfuscated, using normalized content buffers in Snort such as js_data can provide a consistent view into the payload. However, this payload has remained largely unchanged besides the payload URLs from November 2023 to March 2024. Stage 2 detection For Snort detection, we can use a simple series of content that matches the content of the PowerShell script.
