Feb 11, 2009 4:08 PM in response to moe-jiller iSync itself has not been updated for any new phone models since October 2007. Apple are now leaving additional phone support to manufacturers and third party developers via iSync Plugins. The list of natively supported phones here is up-to-date. There is no "master" list containing all currently available third-party plugins. I'm afraid you just have to visit the individual web-sites of each Plugin provider and check their individual lists. Hi, I´ve recently purchased a Palm Tungsten E2. I own a Powerbook G4. The reasons for choosing Palm was that it´s compatible with Mac OS (an obvious reason), and that it had Bluetooth, which I thought would make it a charm to synchronize. However, I can´t for the life of me get my Palm synced with my Mac. I seem to have established a connection between the two units, but when I run Hotsync from the Palm, I get the error message "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application". In Hotsync Manager on the Powerbook, I´ve chosen the "bluetooth-pda-sync port", and chosen "Serial" as connection. As far as I know, there are no other units, application or whatever, that are using this port. I´ve read some support information with regards to using iSync. I´ve tried ISync, and as far as I can see, I´ve set up everything correctly. However, it all ends when iSync ask me to press the HotSync-button on the docking station - the point with bluetooth is to be connected without cables, no? The user manual, and online troubleshooting on palmone.com is quite useless, and I´m quite frustrated at the moment. Anyone out there who has experience with Palm, that are able to help? SE changed the way the phone now communicates. It no longer support syncML over BT, or IR, or even the USB Mass Storage profile. SE has no plans to change any of this either. For the most part they have written of the Mac platform. With Apple working on the iPhone, they probably do not have the resources or the desire to work on SE's issues. My M600i is now in a draw and I purchased a Nokia E61. It synced up right away. SE has let us all down. Dec 14, 2006 1:15 AM in response to Julian Wright Hello everbody, this post is really helpfull. #1 So I have trying to download the iSync Palm conduit from the mac site, and everytime I download it, it fails to mount. I have tried from several different spots. 1.2-1.5 any thoughts? Also is there any way to un-install the palm desktop software. My hotsync manager quits every time I open it. I think this belongs in this forum, but if it goes in Peripherals please send it there. Thanks!! #2 I think the PalmDesktop installer has an "Uninstall" function. i had problems with mine a long time ago and I think I used my installer to uninstall. But first try moving all preferences relating to Palm, especially HotSync, out of the prefs folder in your User folder, log OUT and IN again. Does the problem persist? Do you have any software running in the background, like Norton Antivirus? #3 Getting iSync Palm to work is a little of a lucky stroke. The concept behinfd the palm isynch conduit actually forces OSX to have two synch simultaneously. One between the Palm and the Palm conduit, and then one between the palm conduit and isynch. I really don't know why they choose this option. What I found works for me is the following:1. start plam hotsynch manager and ensure it is enabled2. start the conduit manger3. press the synch button on the palm, synchronization should start.Personallt, I tried, and I never successfully de-installed the palm isynch conduit..
